ManageEngine Endpoint Central

The ManageEngine Endpoint Central connector allows you to retrieve complete information about your managed endpoints directly from your centralized management console.

Overview

The ManageEngine Endpoint Central connector enables you to collect the following information:

• Endpoint inventory
• Patches and updates
• Installed software

Prerequisites

• Access to ManageEngine Endpoint Central console
• User account with API permissions
• ManageEngine Endpoint Central server URL accessible

Configuration

Generate API Key

1. Log in to your ManageEngine Endpoint Central console with administrator rights.
2. Go to the Admin tab > Integrations > API key generation.
3. Locate the user for which you want to generate an API key.
4. Click Generate next to the user.
5. Copy and store the API Key securely for OverSOC configuration.

Alternative Method:

1. Click your user icon in the top-right corner.
2. Select API Key Generation.
3. Click Generate.
4. Copy and store the API Key securely.

Get Server Information

1. Note the complete URL of your Endpoint Central server (e.g., https://ec.example.com).
2. Verify the server is accessible from your OverSOC instance.

Configure the Connector in OverSOC

1. In OverSOC, go to Data Sources Settings > Sources.
2. Select ManageEngine Endpoint Central and click Configure.
3. Enter the required fields:
   • Server URL: Your Endpoint Central server URL (e.g., https://ec.example.com)
   • API Key: Paste the generated API key
4. Fill in optional fields (OTP, domain) if needed.
5. Click Save Configuration.

Information to provide in OverSOC

Required Permissions

The API user must have the following minimum permissions:

• Read access to endpoint inventory
• Access to patch and update information
• Access to installed software data
