EMS
Import your endpoints inventory and security policies from EMS
The EMS (ManageEngine Endpoint Central) connector allows you to import endpoints inventory via CSV export. This is a file-based import connector, not an API integration.
Objective
The EMS connector allows you to import the following information:
- Endpoints inventory
- Applied security policies
- Security agent status
Prerequisites
- Access to ManageEngine Endpoint Central with export rights
- Active EMS platform
Important Note
This connector works via CSV file export. Although ManageEngine Endpoint Central offers a REST API, the OverSOC connector currently uses CSV-based import. You must export inventory reports from the Endpoint Central console as CSV files and import them into OverSOC.
Procedure
Export Inventory Report from EMS
- Log in to the ManageEngine Endpoint Central console with administrator rights.
- Go to Inventory tab > Inventory Reports.
- Select the inventory report you need (e.g., "Hardware Inventory", "Software Inventory", "Endpoint Status").
- Click Export and choose the CSV format.
- Download the CSV file to your local machine.
Import into OverSOC
- In OverSOC, go to Data Sources Settings > Sources.
- Select EMS and click Configure.
- Choose the CSV Import mode.
- Upload your exported CSV file.
- Click Save Configuration.
Synchronization frequency
Since EMS uses file-based import, synchronization must be done manually:
- Export CSV regularly from Endpoint Central console
- Re-import updated CSV files into OverSOC as needed
- Consider automating exports via command-line tools or scripts for regular updates
